Deposits and withdrawals, end to end: how each method works and how to avoid delays

The steps and limits above tell you what to do. This guide explains why each step exists, what happens on our side between your transfer and your credit, and how to fix the handful of problems that cause almost every "payment stuck" message we receive. Read it once before your first deposit and you will rarely need to contact us about money again.

A note on who you are paying. 99exch.in is an ID provider and authorised agent. When you deposit, you transfer money to the account details our WhatsApp team shares with you, and we credit the equivalent balance to your 99exch (99exchange) ID. When you withdraw, we send money from our side to the bank account or UPI ID registered on your ID. The exchange platform itself never asks you for money directly, and neither do we outside the WhatsApp conversation you started.

UPI deposits with any app

UPI is the method most 99exch users choose because it is instant, free and works from the app you already have. GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and your bank's own app are all simply UPI front-ends; the money moves the same way whichever one you use, so pick the app whose interface you know best.

There are two ways our team may share UPI details with you:

  • A UPI ID (VPA). Open your app, choose "pay to UPI ID", type the ID exactly as sent, verify that the payee name shown by your app matches the name our team told you to expect, enter the amount and pay.
  • A QR code. Scan it from inside your app rather than from the phone camera, so the payment opens directly in the payment flow. Again, confirm the payee name before you enter your PIN.

Two habits protect you. Never pay to a UPI ID or QR that was not sent within your existing WhatsApp chat with our verified number, even if a message claims to be from "99exch support". And do not save an old UPI ID for reuse; payment details can rotate, and a transfer to a retired ID takes longer to trace and credit. Ask for the current details each time, or before a session in which you expect to top up more than once.

IMPS, NEFT and bank transfer

For larger deposits, or when your UPI daily cap is exhausted, a direct bank transfer is the alternative. Our team will share an account number, IFSC code and account holder name. The three transfer types behave differently:

Transfer typeHow it movesWhen to use itThings to note
IMPSInstant, 24 hours a day including holidaysDeposits above your UPI limit that you want credited quicklyMinimum on this page is ₹1,000; most banks cap IMPS per transaction and per day
NEFTSettled in batches, usually within an hour or two during bank hours, longer at night or on holidaysNon-urgent top-ups when IMPS is unavailableCredit to your ID waits for the batch to clear; keep the UTR number handy
Net banking transferDepends on the option you pick inside your bank's website or app (IMPS, NEFT or RTGS)When you prefer a desktop banking sessionMinimum on this page is ₹500; add the payee first if your bank requires beneficiary registration

Most banks require you to add a new beneficiary before sending money, and some enforce a cooling period of a few hours after adding one, during which transfers are limited or blocked. If you plan to use bank transfer regularly, add the beneficiary well before the match or session you are funding. The processing time shown on this page for IMPS and bank transfer (5-10 minutes) begins once the money reaches our account, not from the moment you press send.

Proof-of-payment screenshots done right

The screenshot you send is what our team uses to match your transfer against incoming credits. A good screenshot lets us credit you in the 1-2 minutes quoted above for UPI. A poor one adds a round of questions. Include all of the following in a single image:

  • The status: "Successful", "Paid" or "Completed". A "Pending" or "Processing" screen is not proof; wait for it to change.
  • The exact amount, including paise if your app shows them.
  • The payee name or UPI ID you paid to.
  • The date and time of the transaction.
  • The UTR / transaction reference number. This 12-digit number is the single most useful item; on most apps you reach it by tapping the transaction and choosing "details" or "share receipt".

Send the screenshot as an image, not as a forwarded message from another chat, and send it in the same WhatsApp thread where you received the payment details. If your app produces a PDF receipt, the PDF is also acceptable. Do not crop out the reference number to make the picture neater; that is the part we need most. Finally, send the proof straight after paying rather than collecting several payments to send together, because unmatched credits sitting in our account for hours are harder to reconcile.

Why amounts must match exactly

Our team matches each incoming credit to a deposit request by three things: the amount, the time and the reference number. If you tell us you are depositing ₹2,000 and then send ₹2,000 exactly, the match is immediate. If you send ₹1,999 because of a typo, or ₹2,050 because you changed your mind mid-payment, the automatic match fails and a person has to search for the credit manually. That is the most common cause of a credit taking longer than the times shown on this page.

Practical rules that follow from this:

  1. Tell our team the amount before you pay, then pay exactly that figure.
  2. If you must split a deposit across two transfers because of a bank limit, say so first and send a screenshot for each transfer.
  3. Avoid round-number "test" payments of ₹1 or ₹10; they create stray credits and do not speed anything up.
  4. Stay within the minimum and maximum shown in the limits table above for the method you are using. Deposits below the minimum for that method may be returned rather than credited.

The same logic applies in reverse to withdrawals: request a specific amount, and expect that exact amount to arrive.

Bank and UPI daily limits

A transfer that fails with "limit exceeded" is almost never a problem on our side; it is a cap set by your bank or your UPI app. Every bank sets its own per-transaction and per-day ceilings for UPI, IMPS and NEFT, and a new UPI registration or a freshly added beneficiary typically starts with a lower ceiling for the first day or so. Some apps also limit the number of UPI transactions per day, not just the total value.

What to do when you hit a cap:

  • Check the limit inside your banking app; most show the remaining daily allowance for UPI and IMPS.
  • Switch method: if UPI is capped, IMPS from the same account usually has a separate, higher ceiling.
  • Use a second account of your own if you hold one; never route money through someone else's account (see below).
  • Wait for the limit to reset, which is typically at midnight or 24 hours after the first transaction, depending on your bank.

Remember that the maximum deposits listed on this page (for example ₹1,00,000 by UPI) describe what we can accept per transaction, not what your bank will let you send. Your effective limit is the lower of the two.

The withdrawal request, step by step

The withdrawal flow above is short; here it is in more detail, including what our team needs from you so the request is processed within the 15-30 minute window quoted on this page.

  1. Make sure the balance is settled. Winnings from a market that has not yet been settled by the exchange are not withdrawable. Wait until the market shows as settled in your account statement after your 99exch login.
  2. Message support from your registered WhatsApp number. Requests from an unknown number are refused for your protection.
  3. State your 99exch user ID and the exact amount. Write the amount in figures, for example "withdraw 5000", and confirm it is within your available balance.
  4. Confirm the destination. Give the account holder name, account number and IFSC, or the UPI ID, that is already registered on your profile. The name must match the name on your ID.
  5. Enter your withdrawal password if asked. If you have forgotten it, use the reset steps shown higher up this page before you request the withdrawal.
  6. Wait for confirmation. Our team verifies the balance, deducts the amount from your ID and sends the transfer. You receive a confirmation message, often with a reference number.
  7. Check your bank. UPI credits are near-instant; IMPS credits are usually fast; NEFT credits follow the bank's batch timing. If the money has not arrived within an hour of our confirmation, share the reference number so we can trace it.

You can raise a withdrawal at any hour, but bank-side processing at night or on public holidays may take longer for NEFT, which is why UPI or IMPS is the sensible choice for a payout you need quickly.

First-withdrawal checks and KYC

The first time you withdraw, expect a short identity check. It exists so that money can only leave your 99exchange ID to an account that belongs to you, which protects you if your login is ever compromised. Our team may ask for:

  • A photo of a government ID whose name matches the name on your bank account.
  • A screenshot or cancelled cheque image showing your account number, IFSC and account holder name, or a screenshot of your UPI profile showing the linked name.
  • Confirmation that the WhatsApp number you are writing from is the one registered on your ID.

This is done once. After that, withdrawals to the same account are processed on request without repeating the check. If you later want to withdraw to a different account, expect the destination check to be repeated for the new account, and expect a refusal if the new account is in someone else's name. Sending documents in the WhatsApp thread is the only channel we use; we never ask for ID documents by email, SMS or a form on a third-party site.

Troubleshooting pending or failed payments

Almost every payment problem falls into one of the rows below. Find your situation, take the action listed, and include the details mentioned when you message us through the number on our contact page.

Withdrawal refusedUnsettled balance, name mismatch, or third-party accountWait for settlement or use an account in your own nameYour user ID and the account details you supplied

One rule covers every row: never make a second payment to "fix" a first one until our team has confirmed the first is lost or reversed. Duplicate payments are the hardest problem to unwind.

Avoid third-party accounts and keep your records

Depositing from, or withdrawing to, an account that is not in your own name causes two kinds of trouble. On our side, the name mismatch fails the destination check and the request is refused. On your side, you lose the paper trail that protects you if something goes wrong, and you may be drawn into someone else's banking problems. Use only accounts and UPI IDs registered in your name, and never accept an offer from a stranger to "deposit on your behalf" in return for a fee or a share.

Keeping records is simple and worth the thirty seconds:

  • Save the payment receipt or screenshot for every deposit and withdrawal in a dedicated album on your phone.
  • Note the UTR, amount and date in a notes app or a small spreadsheet.
  • Keep the WhatsApp thread with our support intact; do not clear the chat, because it contains the payment details you used and our confirmations.
  • Compare your monthly bank statement with your 99exch account statement once a month. Any gap should be raised within days, not months.

Records also help you see your real spending. If your monthly deposits are higher than you expected, that is a signal to pause and set a firm ceiling.

Frequently asked questions

Which UPI app should I use to deposit?

Any of them. GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and bank apps all use the same UPI network, so the money moves identically. Use the app you know best and always verify the payee name before entering your PIN.

What should my payment screenshot show?

The status (Successful), the exact amount, the payee name or UPI ID, the date and time, and the UTR or transaction reference number. Do not crop the reference number out.

I paid a slightly different amount by mistake. What now?

Do not send a second payment. Message support with the screenshot and the amount you actually sent. The credit is matched manually to your ID, which may take a little longer than the usual time.

Why does my bank say "limit exceeded"?

Your bank or UPI app has a daily or per-transaction cap, often lower for a new UPI registration or a newly added beneficiary. Check the remaining limit in your app, switch to IMPS, or wait for the cap to reset.

Can I deposit from a friend's account?

No. Deposits and withdrawals must be from and to accounts in your own name. A name mismatch fails the destination check, and third-party accounts remove the paper trail that protects you.

What details do you need for a withdrawal?

Your 99exch user ID, the exact amount, and the registered bank account (holder name, account number, IFSC) or UPI ID, sent from your registered WhatsApp number. Your withdrawal password may also be requested.

Why was KYC asked for on my first withdrawal?

A one-time identity check confirms that money only leaves your ID to an account in your name. After it is done, withdrawals to the same account are processed without repeating it.

My withdrawal says confirmed but the money has not arrived.

UPI and IMPS credits are usually quick; NEFT follows bank batch timing and can take longer at night or on holidays. If nothing has arrived an hour after our confirmation, send the reference number so we can trace it.

Can I withdraw winnings from a match that is still in progress?

No. Only settled balance is withdrawable. Wait until the exchange marks the market as settled, then raise the request.

Does 99exch.in charge anything for handling my payments?

No. As stated on this page, there are no fees for deposits or withdrawals. If anyone asks you for a "processing fee" or "activation charge" to release money, they are not us; stop and contact our verified WhatsApp number.

Payments are the part of betting that should feel boring, and with exact amounts, complete screenshots and accounts in your own name, they will. If you are still setting up, our 99exch ID page explains how to get started, and the FAQ covers account questions beyond money.
